AgriJev: Efficient Agricultural Candidate Scoring with Multi-Scale Adapted Models

AgriJev is a family of adapted Qwen3.5 models (0.8B, 2B, 4B, and 9B) designed for efficient agricultural candidate scoring. The models use a shared interface that conditions on agricultural text, a judgment question, and candidate definitions to return scores and relative probabilities in a single forward pass. Across 17 external test views, AgriJev-9B achieves 75.44% mean accuracy, surpassing both the original Qwen3.5 and matched agricultural SFT models, while also offering roughly half the median scoring latency of equivalent answer‑generation models on an A100 GPU.

QVAC Genesis III: A Large-Scale, High-Quality Open Synthetic STEM Corpus for Efficient Language Model Pre-Training

QVAC Genesis III is a 191.43 B‑token synthetic STEM corpus covering 19 domains and multiple difficulty levels, created through a dual generation strategy that uses a weak edge‑scale student model to generate corrective explanations and contrastive reasoning. The authors evaluate the corpus with an LLM‑as‑a‑parser protocol and demonstrate that 1.7 B‑parameter models trained on QVAC Genesis III outperform those trained on Cosmopedia‑v2 and the Cosmo‑1B model on ARC, GPQA Diamond, and MMLU STEM benchmarks, achieving up to +28.57% improvement on ARC‑E and a 99.45% valid answer rate.

EDU-Jev Training System-One Decision Models for Education

EDU-Jev is a family of single‑pass decision models (0.8B, 2B, and 4B parameters) designed for educational tasks that require selecting from a fixed set of options. The models output a probability distribution over predefined choices without generating text, using a pointer head to score each option. In twelve education benchmarks, EDU‑Jev 4B achieved 67.6% accuracy, outperforming five commercial decision APIs by 9.4 percentage points and the best open 4B model by 18.7 points, while the 2B version can process about 150 decisions per second on a single H100 GPU.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to System 1 Models: Fast Decision-Making Beyond LLMS

The paper introduces System 1 models—fast, single‑pass decision engines that map inputs directly to structured outputs, addressing the latency, cost, and calibration issues of large language models. It presents a five‑family taxonomy (encoder‑based classifiers, reward models, non‑autoregressive engines, contrastive models, and extraction models) and discusses training, deployment trade‑offs, and calibration theory, including proper scoring rules and RLCD. The guide also covers integration into agentic workflows, System 1+System 2 cascades, 18 application domains, an open‑source ecosystem, and practical resources such as code, a model zoo, and assessment questions.
