Hierarchical Graph Convolutional Network Approach for Detecting Low-Quality Documents

Read the original on arXiv AI →

The paper introduces a hierarchical graph convolutional network (HGCN) designed to detect low‑quality documents by identifying internal inconsistencies and mismatches between titles and bodies. The authors created the Inconsistency Dataset from news data and metadata to train the model, achieving 91.20% accuracy on this dataset and 92.00% on a public incongruent dataset. An ablation study shows that incorporating metadata significantly improves performance, suggesting the model’s broad applicability for filtering low‑quality content.

Network Information Enhances Unreliable News Domain Detection

arXiv:2608. 02399v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Content-based detection of unreliable news is increasingly difficult, as low-reliability sources mimic credible journalism and generative AI makes fabricated content harder to flag.

SenFlow: Inter-Sentence Flow Modeling for AI-Generated Text Detection in Hybrid Documents

Sentence-level AI-generated text detection (S-AGTD) for hybrid documents, where humans and LLMs co-author one text, faces two gaps: existing methods classify each sentence in isolation, discarding inter-sentence dependencies, and existing benchmarks omit the newest generation of generators. We construct MOSAIC, a benchmark of 16,000 hybrid documents over PubMed and XSum, generated by DeepSeek-V3.
