Survival-Guided Length Control for Efficient Diffusion Language Models

The paper introduces a survival-guided length control method for diffusion language models (DLMs), framing length selection as a discrete-time survival problem over the end-of-sequence token. This training‑free, plug‑in length predictor can be added to any existing DLM and reduces unnecessary denoising steps. Dependency-Aware Revocable Decoding for Efficient Diffusion Large Language Model Inference

The paper introduces Dependency-Aware Revocable Decoding (DARD), a training‑free framework for diffusion large language models that separates tokens into masked, candidate, and unmasked states. DARD verifies candidate tokens using a selective context that excludes less reliable tokens and adaptively regulates their influence on subsequent decoding.
