CAHR-Net: Condition-Adaptive Hysteresis Reconstruction for Compact and Interpretable Magnetic Core Loss Modeling

arXiv:2609. 01991v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Magnetic core loss originates in the hysteresis loop: the energy dissipated per excitation cycle equals the loop area, and frequency, temperature, and waveform shape set the loss by reshaping the loop geometry.

A FEM-Based Surrogate Modelling and Optimization Framework for Physics-Constrained Electromagnetic Coil Design

The paper presents a surrogate‑assisted optimization framework for designing a seven‑parameter current‑excited electromagnetic coil, coupling a 2‑D axisymmetric FEM model with a Matern 5/2 Gaussian‑process surrogate. Sequential Bayesian optimization using expected improvement (EI) is compared with COBYLA and BOBYQA, showing that the ranking of methods depends on the FEM evaluation budget and that different methods excel at early progress, terminal response, or computational cost. A retrospective study indicates no clear advantage of EI over posterior‑mean ranking on this smooth response surface, and the results are specific to the axisymmetric benchmark used.

A Multi-Agent System for IPMSM Design Optimization via an FEA-AI Hybrid Approach

arXiv:2606. 09037v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) design requires balancing conflicting objectives and multi-physics constraints, while modern optimization workflows face three bottlenecks: manual problem setup, high finite element analysis (FEA) cost, and unreliable surrogate-based search in sparse or out-of-distribution regions.

COREM: Cosine-Relation Momentum Reshaping with Stateful Writeback

The paper introduces COREM, a Cosine-Relation Momentum Reshaping method that exploits relational structure within matrix‑valued optimizer states. COREM partitions the momentum state into update units, computes cosine relations among them, and reshapes the momentum before writing it back, thereby influencing both current and future optimization dynamics. Experiments on CIFAR‑10 and enwik8 show that COREM improves mid‑to‑late training performance and enhances spectral properties while using fewer FLOPs than the Muon baseline.

Advantage-level Aggregation Reinforcement Learning for X-point Target Magnetic Configuration Control in an EXL-50U Experiment-Calibrated Simulation Environment

The study presents a reinforcement learning approach, Advantage Aggregation (AdvA), to control the X‑point target (XPT) divertor in the EXL‑50U tokamak experiment. By preserving objective‑wise temporal credit and applying a residual correction, AdvA‑PPO outperforms standard Reward‑PPO and a feedforward‑plus‑PID baseline, achieving a 0.81 worst‑channel score and reducing X‑point flux RMSE by roughly 20× over a 500 ms rollout. The method remains robust under measurement uncertainties and across varied initial equilibria, offering a simulation‑based foundation for future real‑time XPT validation on EXL‑50U.

Retrainable physics-integrated neural differentiable modeling of sintering across material systems

Sinter-PiNDiff is a retrainable physics‑integrated neural differentiable framework that predicts density and grain‑size evolution during sintering. It uses two neural networks to learn densification and grain‑growth coefficients within coupled rate equations, and a smooth saturation factor to limit densification near theoretical density. When trained on published data for MgO, Al‑doped ZnO, and CaO‑doped ThO₂, the model achieved the lowest mean errors across twelve material‑metric comparisons compared to multilayer perceptron and residual network baselines, demonstrating the importance of density‑dependent kinetic feedback and providing uncertainty estimates via deep ensembles.
