arXiv:2605. 24251v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Continual anomaly detection (CAD) addresses the need for industrial inspection systems to adapt to evolving production conditions, yet existing methods share three critical gaps: unrealistic evaluation, no systematic comparison, and no consideration of edge deployment constraints.

MAADBench is a refreshable benchmark for anomaly detection in multi‑agent systems powered by large language models. It addresses the challenge of keeping benchmarks current by sampling and coupling generative tasks, generating trace data under configurable LLM backbones, and automatically providing deterministic step‑level labels. The authors evaluated 25 anomaly‑detection methods on 5,200 labeled traces, finding that existing approaches depend heavily on supervision, struggle with subtle MAS‑specific anomalies, and lack robustness across different LLM backbones.

The paper introduces SANE, a method for stabilizing Delta‑Rule recurrent models that maintain a fixed‑size state. By applying adaptive tanh compression at chunk boundaries, SANE prevents localized norm explosions observed in long‑sequence experiments while preserving reasoning performance on short‑context benchmarks. Experiments on a 100M‑token prefix show that SANE retains functional reasoning where the baseline fails, but overly aggressive compression sacrifices reasoning ability, highlighting a capacity–stability trade‑off.

arXiv:2509. 18751v4 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Recently reconstruction-based deep models have been widely used for time series anomaly detection, but as their capacity and generalization capability increase, these models tend to over-generalize, often reconstructing unseen anomalies accurately.

The paper introduces NC‑TFAD, a task‑free continual anomaly detection framework that leverages neural‑collapse geometry to learn from non‑stationary data streams without task boundaries. It freezes a pretrained backbone, aligns streaming features to a simplex Equiangular Tight Frame prototype space, and uses synthetic anomaly anchors, inter‑ and intra‑class regularization, and a Focal Neural Collapse Contrastive loss to stabilize representations and enhance normal‑anomaly separability. A normal‑patch‑prototype‑guided localization branch generates calibrated anomaly heatmaps, and extensive experiments on MVTec AD and VisA demonstrate that NC‑TFAD outperforms existing task‑free continual learning and unified anomaly detection baselines in both image‑level detection and pixel‑level localization.
