The paper presents the first controlled study of Whisper adaptation for Greek Automatic Lyric Transcription (ALT), addressing challenges such as melodic variability, rhythmic irregularity, and accompaniment interference. It explores model scaling, multitask training with transcribe-translate ratios, and a two‑stage speech‑to‑singing adaptation, while curating a segment‑level aligned singing dataset from the Greek Audio Dataset. Results show that larger models consistently improve performance, multitask learning benefits smaller models, and the two‑stage adaptation achieves a 27.2% WER, establishing the first Greek ALT benchmark.

X-Translator is a low‑cost, modular real‑time speech‑to‑speech translation system that integrates streaming ASR, machine translation, and prompt‑conditioned TTS, managed by a session‑level runtime controller. It uses incremental segment commitment to stabilize ASR streams and an online speaker prompt manager to maintain speaker consistency across multi‑speaker conversations. The system is evaluated on translation quality, speech naturalness, latency, and speaker preservation using OpenSTBench, and its code and demo are publicly available on GitHub.

Recent advances in zero-shot text-to-speech (TTS) have substantially improved speech quality and voice cloning fidelity. However, many zero-shot TTS systems still depend on audio prompt transcripts at inference time.
The paper presents a method for creating a compact fixed‑voice Thai text‑to‑speech system by training a student model on synthetic speech generated from a large voice‑cloning teacher. By using only a short 15‑second voice reference and carefully filtering synthetic data, the authors build an 82‑million‑parameter model, Wayu‑Paxa‑TTS‑Edge, that runs on device without reference audio. The system achieves strong performance—68.2 % challenge‑set keyword accuracy, 91.4 % pause precision, and low character error rates—while outperforming its teacher and approaching the quality of a larger Gemini 3.1 model.

We propose an augmentation pipeline that generates scenario-level dialogues with participant metadata, maps speaker attributes to TTS voice profiles, and assembles synthesized utterances into speaker-aware simulated conversations.
