Enhancing High-order Interaction Awareness in LLM-based Recommender Model

The paper introduces ELMRec, an enhanced LLM-based recommender that improves high-order interaction awareness by using whole-word embeddings to better interpret graph-constructed user-item interactions without graph pre-training. It also identifies that LLMs tend to prioritize earlier user interactions over recent ones and proposes a reranking solution. ELMRec achieves superior performance compared to state-of-the-art methods in both direct and sequential recommendation tasks.

Graph Foundation Models for Recommendation: A Comprehensive Survey

The article surveys graph foundation models (GFMs) for recommender systems, highlighting how they combine graph neural networks (GNNs) and large language models (LLMs) to better capture user-item relationships and textual data. It offers a taxonomy of current GFM approaches, discusses methodological details, and identifies key challenges and future research directions. The survey aims to provide comprehensive insights into the evolving landscape of GFM-based recommender systems.

LIGE-GR: A Smooth Leap from Ranking to Generative Recommendation in the LLM Era

LIGE‑GR is a framework that transitions traditional ranking‑based recommender systems to a generative, listwise approach inspired by large language models. It extends existing pointwise recommendation models into a listwise generation system, enabling sequence‑level optimization without overhauling the entire infrastructure. Experiments on Instagram Reels and Facebook Video show modest gains in user time spent—1.14 % and 0.72 % respectively—while adding only slight inference overhead.

Unleash LLMs Potential for Sequential Recommendation by Coordinating Dual Dynamic Index Mechanism

The paper introduces ED$^2$, an end‑to‑end large language model–based sequential recommender that integrates index generation and recommendation through a dual dynamic index mechanism. It employs a multigrained token regulator for alignment supervision and custom instruction‑tuning tasks to capture high‑order user‑item interactions. Experiments on three public datasets show ED$^2$ outperforms baselines with an average 19.62% gain in Hit‑Rate and 21.11% in NDCG.
